Why are skin allergies more common in adults?

This is closely interlinked to the ceaseless competition in the cosmetics and hygiene products industry. In recent years, many new brands of cosmetics and skin care products have emerged in the market. With the ongoing competition and in order to stand out from among many brands, various brands have added "unique formulas" to their products to improve product efficacy and attract consumers' attention. However, these "unique formulations'' are often not allergy-tested or clinically tested, and it remains unknown whether they are the cause of contact dermatitis.

Classic example - Parabens

Widely used as a cosmetic preservative ingredient for the past 10+ years, scientists have finally pointed out that it can cause rosacea, skin irritation, contact dermatitis, etc... It is not easy to see "hypoallergenic" products no longer added Paraben, but thinking about those customers who have used this product for the past 10+ years, did this news come too late?

Patients with rosacea often have symptoms of sensitive skin shown on the face, but they continue to recur. In fact, the cause of this condition is unknown. The blood vessels under the skin are more likely to dilate, the face is prone to flushing, and inflammatory substances flow out, causing allergic symptoms. Since the cause of the disease is unknown, there is no definite treatment. Patients can take prescribed medicines, ointments, and avoid contact allergens, such as skin care products, perfumes, shampoos, leather, etc.…which may help to reduce the chance of developing the disease.

To find out the real cause of "contact" sensitization

You can perform a skin patch test to accurately determine which allergens you are more likely to react to, and avoid using products containing the certain related ingredients in the future.
